Kingston Regatta

About: Watch some of the country's leading rowing clubs compete over two days on Kingston's beautiful stretch of the River Thames.
With 320 races set to take place over the two-day event, spectators can spend all weekend out on the banks of the Thames (so long as the weather holds up of course).
The event's licensed bar will be joined by a number of street food vendors, serving several pasta dishes (Soffritto), pork rolls & mac and cheese (Mr Pigstuff) and traditional wood-fired pizza (Dough Shack), helping give attendees the staying power to stick around all day!
When: All weekend – Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July. Races will run from 8:30am to 6:30pm both days.
Where: River Thames, between Ravens Ait and Kingston Bridge. The enclosure, hosting food stalls, a bar, and other facilities, can be found on the riverbank on the Teddington-side, near Barge Wal and Home Park.
Price: Free entry.
About: 'We'll bring the games, you bring the crew!'
Come join Shakes and Ladders to unplug from technology and get down to some good old-fashioned board games.
However, with over 100 board and card games to choose from, you can leave the classics in the box if you're looking to shake things up.
With snacks and drinks available throughout your gaming session, what are you waiting for?
When: Sunday 14 July, from 1pm to 4:30pm.
Where: Long Ditton Village Hall, 2 Ewell Road, Long Ditton, Surrey, KT6 5LE.
Price: Adults, £4; children aged 5 to 15, £3; under 4s go free.
Canbury Bandstand Concerts – Kingston Music Service

About: Bands from the Kingston Music Service will be holding an outdoor performance as part of the volunteer-run Canbury Bandstand Concerts, a series of free musical performances running every Sunday until 8 September.
Kingston Music Service, based at Hook Centre in Chessington, offers young people and adults alike opportunities to sing, learn an instrument, and play in bands and orchestras.
If you want a preview, some of the group's performers will be playing from 7pm at St Luke's Church tomorrow, 12 July, as part of the Kingston Music Service Strings Concert.
When: Sunday 14 July, from 3pm until 5pm.
Where: Canbury Bandstand, Canbury Gardens, Kingston, KT2 5AW.
Price: Free.
The Bootleg Beatles
About: Hampton Pool favourites, The Bootleg Beatles, are returning for 2024 for 'a magical mystery tour through the hits of The Beatles'.
Organisers say: "They are regarded less as a tribute, but more as a reincarnation of The Beatles!"
While we can't confirm or deny this claim, Nub News can hazard a guess that the group is as close as you can get to the real deal, having performed more than 4,500 shows on both national and global tours.
When: Friday 12 July, with doors opening from 7pm.
Where: Hampton Pool, High Street, Hampton, TW12 2ST.
Price: £35 for adult tickets, £18 for children between 4- and 12-years old.
