As more and more events are being organised locally Nub News is launching a new weekly round up of what's on in Kingston each weekend.

Every Thursday we will now bring you our top picks of the events in our town over the weekend.

And don't forget, if your business or organisation is running an event, you can advertise it for free with Kingston Nub News.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

  1. Open studio at Kingston museum

Kingston museum's free exhibition is open every Friday and features a stunning array of works by local artists.

The theme of this show is the Climate Emergency and involves the work of 30 KAOS members (Kingston Artists Open Studios).

In the thought-provoking exhibition the artists consider the impact of people on the planet, both locally and globally.

Visitors are also invited to vote for their favourite piece which will be announced at the end of the exhibition in March 2022.

  1. Tom Grennan at Kingston Pryzm

Rising singer-songwriter Tom Grennan is playing two gigs on Saturday to celebrate the release of his second album.

The 26-year-old returns to Kingston for a special set and Q&A with YouTube star JAACKMAATE.

Tom's visit has been organised by iconic Kingston record store Banquet Records and takes place at town centre club Pryzm.

The 7pm gig is sold out but you can still get tickets for his 5pm show and there are great deals on his new CD and LP available.

  1. The Eclectic Cabaret at the cornerHOUSE theatre

Surbiton's arts and theatre venue will be hosting a night of entertainment as part of Kingston Arts Festival 2021.

Music, magic, storytelling and poetry from a range of acclaimed acts are bound to enchant audiences.

Tickets are just £10 and doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 7.30.

You can find the arts centre at 116 Douglas Road, Surbiton.
