People with autism or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD) are being asked to help guide Kingston Council's new strategy for the conditions.

The council is also working with local organisations to help identify how to best support the borough's neurodivergent residents.

Draft priorities being considered for the new strategy include support for diagnosis, help in finding employment, and assistance for autism or ADHD beyond childhood.

The survey, found here, can be answered by "people who are experts by experience" – people with the conditions and family or friends who help provide support – as well as professionals within the field.

Respondents must also live, work, study, or regularly go to activities within Kingston Borough.

Announcing the consultation on its Let's Talk site, Kingston Council said: "Hearing from people with personal experience is very important so we can make a plan of action that will improve the lives of autistic people and/or people who have ADHD in Kingston.

"We can't do this without you."

The consultation, which can be accessed here, closes to the public on Wednesday 12 June.
