Urban Fun Kingston officially threw open its doors last night (Thursday, 11 December) and the town centre lit up with energy as more than 300 guests flooded into Kingston's brand-new multi-level entertainment playground.

From the moment the doors opened, the atmosphere was electric. The DJ kept the energy soaring with high-octane tunes, while the sounds of laughter, cheers and friendly competition echoed throughout the venue as guests put Urban Fun's huge line-up of games to the test.

Complimentary drinks and canapés circulated through the crowd, and the Urban Fun Monkey mascot made a lively appearance, posing for pics and handing out treats.

Guests experienced the full Urban Fun offering, including Brunswick duck-pin bowling, AR darts, axe throwing, Neo shuffleboard, 9-hole mini golf, Subsoccer football, curling lanes and an arcade packed with UK-first machines, VR and AR experiences, cranes, prize games and boxing challenges.

For many, Europe's first ICEE Slush Rush machine quickly became the star attraction.

The excitement carried through to the karaoke room, where groups belted out everything from guilty pleasures to pop anthems, and the two buzzing bars kept spirits high throughout the night.

Urban Fun's unique Gamergreen digital reward system, allowing guests to win tickets and have prizes delivered to their door via Amazon Prime, was a major talking point, marking another world-first for Kingston.

"We were blown away by the response," said Matthew Deith, Managing Director of Urban Fun.

"Seeing the venue come alive with that level of energy on opening night was incredible. Urban Fun is about bringing people together for unforgettable experiences, day or night, and last night proved just how ready Kingston is for something completely new."

Urban Fun Kingston is now officially open to the public, offering family-friendly fun during the day and high-energy nights from 10am – midnight.
