Police were called at 5am on Monday 30 October to Kingston's Market Place by the London Ambulance Service after they received a call from a distressed female.

She was located and has been taken to Kingston Hospital where she remains with police.

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are investigating and a crime scene was in place, which has now been removed.

Brook Street, St. James' Road and part of the High Street up to Eden Street were closed as officers investigated a potential sexual assault.

If you witnessed anything at this time in the Town centre area that could assist, please call us on 101 ref 781/30Oct23.
