Due to emergency works by UK Power Network (UKPN), a temporary closure is in place for traffic approaching Kingston town centre from Portsmouth Road, before the roundabout junction of High Street and Kingston Hall Road.

Diversions are in place for traffic, including buses.

Local traffic coming from the Portsmouth Road direction can avoid the area by turning right at Woodbines Avenue onto Penrhyn Road. Traffic going south away from Kingston town centre is unaffected.

Speaking about the works, Kingston Council said: "We expect the disruption to be brief - and will update once cleared."
