Two secondary schools in Kingston have been rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.

The two schools are Tiffin Girls' School and The Kingston Academy.

41 schools across South London have been given Ofsted's top rating.

A grade of outstanding means a school is achieving at the highest level across four key areas - the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development and leadership and management.

According to MyLondon, "The system will undergo a major change from November this year when there will instead be five categories and single line gradings will be scrapped in favour of a new school report card.

"But until then the original categories still stand, which schools given one of four overall gradings - inadequate, requires improvement, good and outstanding. We have compiled a list of all the schools in South London rated outstanding at the date of publication."
