Those travelling on the Kingston-Shepperton line and various Surbiton rail services can expect delays this afternoon as trains are forced to slow down.

Rail operator South Western Railway (SWR) say the restrictions are due to "an operational incident between Raynes Park and New Malden" that took place at around 1pm today, Wednesday 31 July.

Trains running through these stations will be forced to travel at a reduced speed until about 5pm, along with various other lines travelling via Surbiton.

Those with tickets for the affected services are able to travel on TfL buses "via any reasonable route" in the Kingston, Surbiton, Wimbledon, and Hampton Court areas free of charge.

If you must travel from the affected stations, check your journey using the journey planner on the SWR website here.
