Trains from Kingston stations to London Waterloo affected following track fatality

Trains from Kingston stations towards London Waterloo have been cancelled and delayed this afternoon (Thursday, 9 April) after a person died on the tracks between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction.

A spokesperson for the British Transport Police told Nub News: ""We were called to Queenstown Road railway station at 11.49am on 9 April to reports of a casualty on the tracks.

"Paramedics also attended and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. This incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

South Western Railway (SWR) says it expects that services will resume at the end of the day and asks commuters ti check their journeys via its website here.
