Kingston and Surbiton MP Ed Davey has sent his thoughts and prayers to the Queen amid new concerns for the monarch's health.

All of the Queen's children as well as the Duke of Cambridge are now either at Balmoral or on their way, her Scottish estate near Aberdeen.

Prince Harry and Meghan, who have been staying at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor during a brief European tour "will be travelling to Scotland", their spokeswoman said.

Buckingham Palace said in a statement, released at 12.30pm: "Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.

"The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral."

The Prince of Wales, who landed in a helicopter, and the Princess Royal are already with the Queen, 96. The Duke of Cambridge, the Duke of York and the Earl of Wessex are flying North.

Local MP and Lib Dem leader, Ed Davey, wrote on Twitter: "The whole nation's thoughts and prayers are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family as we all hope and pray for her full recovery."

The Queen pulled out of a virtual Privy Council on Wednesday, a day after appointing Liz Truss as PM at her home in the Scottish Highlands on the advice of royal doctors.
