This June, The Bentall Centre will partner with Curzon Cinema to host the 'Toy Takeover', an immersive event celebrating the release of the latest blockbuster animated toy adventure, Toy Story 5.

From 15 to 28 June, the centre will be transformed into a playful destination featuring interactive installations, creative workshops, and digital adventures for the whole family.

The two week long celebration begins on Monday, 15 June with the unveiling of a show-stopping selfie installation on the ground floor.

This oversized, tablet-themed backdrop is designed as a must-share social media moment, inviting fans to capture photos and videos for Instagram and Facebook.

The excitement peaks during two key activation days on Saturday, 20 and Sunday, 21 June, from 11am - 4pm.

Over the weekend, children can visit the creative workshop zone on the lower ground floor to craft their own unique characters or mix up a batch of "Cosmic Alien Slime".

Nearby, a dedicated dress up zone allows fans to transform into their favourite cinematic-inspired characters.

Visitors should also look out for the famous green toy soldiers, who will be appearing live on the mall at intervals throughout the day on Saturday, 20 June.

Beyond the physical activities, families can explore the entire centre via a QR code-led digital trail. By scanning codes at participating retailers, visitors are automatically entered into a prize draw to win gift cards and other exciting retailer prizes.

A wide range of retailers across the centre are joining the celebration with themed merchandise and special offers. Smiggle now has its full range in stock, which includes themed bags, pencil cases, water bottles, keyrings, and wallets.

Zara Kids is hosting a full collection of character-inspired clothing, while Typo is offering adult-sized jumpers, socks, and keyrings.

For those seeking toys and personalisation, The Entertainer will provide a variety of character toys and budget-friendly options, including bubbles, mini-figures, and craft sets.

Fenwick will showcase a selection of toys, and Build-A-Bear is set to receive new themed items shortly.

HMV remains the destination for films on DVD and Blu-ray, as well as collectibles, posters, and themed home goods. Additionally, McDonald's is participating with themed figures available in its Happy Meals.

This campaign is designed to be more than an event; it is a fully integrated entertainment experience.

By blending film, technology, and storytelling, the takeover encourages visitors to watch, play, create, and share, extending the magic of the cinema across the centre and social platforms.

In association with Curzon Cinema, the campaign will also feature cinematic messaging across the installations and exclusive ticket promotions.
