765 temporary Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) licenses have been issued across London, including in Kingston, by Transport for London (TfL) after a technical issue in April caused delays in processing.

These three-month licenses have been granted to drivers who meet the necessary safety criteria.

They were issued to prevent disruption to services and to ensure qualified drivers can continue to work while TfL's licensing system is being fixed.

Ealing received the most temporary licenses, with 42 granted, followed by Newham with 38. Only four were granted in Kingston.

These figures may change as the licensing operations return to normal.
