Help raise money for a Kingston children's charity by taking part in a Captain Tom 100 fundraising challenge this bank holiday.

Momentum children's charity supports families across South West London, Surrey and West Sussex whose children are facing cancer or a life-challenging condition.

The organisation is one of many taking part in a national fundraising effort inspired by the late Sir Captain Tom Moore, who raised over £30 million for the NHS last year.

The challenge takes place this bank holiday weekend, from Friday 30 May to Monday 3 May.

How to get involved:

  1. Think up an activity based around the number 100. It can be absolutely anything you like; 100 handstands, 100 metre sprint even a 100 minute silence. Once you have your 100 locked in, join the challenge via: JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving .
  1. Share your fundraising page with everyone you know and ask them to support your challenge by making a donation.
  1. Complete your challenge any time between Friday 30th April and Monday 3rd May.
  1. Join the nationwide community by sharing your 100 on social using #CaptainTom100

What the money raised will go towards:

- £5 could restock a hospital fridge with ice lollies and cold drinks to help soothe a child suffering with the side effects of chemotherapy.

- £15 could fund a creative activity pack for a sick child, to enjoy at home, in hospital or as part of our art therapy service

- £60 could pay for a music or play therapy session for a child in their own home or virtually, helping them to explore and express their feelings around their illness.

- £150 could allow a family to have a respite break on board our riverboat 'Moments on the River', an ideal escape from stresses of everyday life.
