A WOMAN from Surbiton has been jailed for Burglary with intent to steal.

Nadine Steer, of Donald Woods Gardens, was found with bags of stolen items at her victim's home in July 2021.

She was sentenced to just over three and a half years imprisonment after pleading guilty to the offence at Kingston Crown Court.

This is after breaching two suspended sentences for theft from a shop.

Steer, 42, fled the scene after being found with the items at the victim's home.

However, she was quickly identified by local police officers and on September 10 she was arrested for the offence.

Kingston Police said in a statement today: "Burglary can be a horrible violating offence which leaves victims feeling unsafe in their own home.

"We're thankful for the support of the victim in this investigation.

"If you would like to speak to an officer about securing your home or burglary in our area please get in touch with your local neighbourhood team.

"They can be found at www.met.police.uk/a/your-area/."
