Surbiton coffee shop chain could get outdoor seating area
By Tilly O'Brien 9th Jul 2026
A coffee shop chain could get an outdoor seating area for its Surbiton high street branch.
Costa Cofee, which is located at 27 Victoria Road, has submitted a licensing application to Kingston Council seeking permission to create an outdoor seating area on the pavement outside the shop for the "sale of food or drink for consumption on or off the premises".
Should the application be approved, Costa hopes to have three tables, six chairs, and four barriers.
Customers would be able to use the seating area from 6am - 7pm Monday through Friday, 7am - 6pm on Saturdays, and 8am - 5pm on Sundays.
Residents have until Monday, 13 July to submit representations for this application and can do so here.
