Good luck messages have been sent to His Majesty The King ahead of his coronation this weekend by care home veterans in Surbiton.

Residents from Royal Star & Garter in Surbiton were filmed sending their best ahead of his coronation on Saturday, May 6th, alongside veterans living in the charity's neighbouring homes in Solihull and High Wycombe.

In the video, Navy spouse Barbara says the monarch was born to be King and wishes him "a very successful reign," while Army wife Penny says she is looking forward to the coronation celebrations and wishes Charles III "the very best for the future." RAF veteran Derek says: "Best of luck – we're behind you!

Royal Star & Garter provides compassionate care to veterans and their partners living with disability or dementia.

Members of the Royal Family have visited the charity frequently over the years including the late Queen and Prince Philip, King Charles in 1982 and most recently, Princess Alexandra in November last year.
