All Saint's Church's Good Friday service was unexpectedly interrupted by a "gift from the heavens" last week (18 April).

A squirrel, clearly drawn in by the beautiful sounds from the famous choir, went up into the roof for a squirrel's eye view, only to lose concentration and footing, plummeting onto the choir and having its fall broken by a conveniently placed service book.

The church reports that the squirrel "scampered off on all four limbs without injury and the choir continued the service with the professionalism we expect".

It said: "We've heard of church harvest mice, now we have the Easter squirrel!"

All Saint's captured the moment on video, which you can view here.
