Parents in Surbiton are being urged to help children get exam-ready as NumberWorks'nWords Surbiton has shared four key "ingredients" it says can improve exam success and reduce stress during revision season.

The Surbiton tuition centre says the approach is designed to help students feel more confident and organised in the run-up to exams, particularly in maths and English.

First, it advises creating the right study environment, recommending a quiet space with no distractions such as mobiles or television.

The second ingredient is motivation. NumberWorks'nWords Surbiton suggests students are more likely to stay focused if they set clear goals for what they want to achieve, with small rewards or treats used as encouragement along the way.

The third focus is method. The centre highlights structured revision techniques such as the "pyramid study method", where students break down what they need to learn and plan their revision step by step.

Finally, it says support is key for pupils who are feeling anxious ahead of exams, with parents encouraged to seek extra help if needed.

NumberWorks'nWords centres provide maths and English tuition for school-aged children, and the Surbiton branch is encouraging families to get in touch ahead of the exam period.
