Shine Bright UK to hold annual World Mental Health Day event in Surbiton this weekend

Shine Bright UK is holding annual event celebrating World mental Health Day this Saturday, 12 October, at Southborough High in Surbiton.

The event is a fashion and talent show.

Ticket sales end on Friday night, 11 October.

The Mayor of Kingston upon Thames, Liz Green will be attending.

Save The World Club will be supporting Shine Bright UK by providing sustainable fashion items from the charity's available second-hand clothing.

Moreover, there will be performances from Shine Bright UK members and locals.

The performances include drumming, Korean dance, Chinese dance, Indian dance, Singing, Spoken word and a fashion show.

The showcase happens every October to bring the spirit of the charity alive.

Speaking about the event, Shine Bright UK 's Trustee, Rachael Barnes, said: "People coming to this event will have a cultural, fun filled evening of entertainment and food whilst learning more about Shine Bright, who offer local people ways in which to learn new skills and meet new people."

Shine Bright UK is an inclusive charity who exists to support the mental wellbeing of people in Kingston and surrounding areas.

As well as providing food and entertainment, this evening will display information and performances about what the charity offers on its free community courses throughout the year.
