It has been revealed that the Teddington, Hampton, and Fullwell and Hampton Hill Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNTs) will take over the policing of Bushy Park.

This follows the Met's decision to disband the Royal Parks Police starting from 1 November.

The East Sheen, South Richmond, and  Ham, Petersham and Riverside SNTs will now cover Richmond Park.

News about the Royal Parks Police disbandment, which is due to Met funding cuts, broke in December last year.

After the news broke out, local MPs and Richmond Council both campaigned against the disbandment.
