The police are appealing for witnesses of an assault in Bushy Park near Sandy Lane Gate.

Royal Parks Police say the incident took place around 11:15am on Thursday 28 March between two dog walkers, a male and a female.

The male pushed over the female before stealing her mobile phone, which has since been recovered.

In a tweet from 1 April, Royal Parks Police described the suspect as "white, between 35 to 40 years old, 5ft 8in to 5ft 9in, skinny build, brown/grey stubble.

"He was wearing a black jacket & black trousers.

"His dog was a greyhound or lurcher, black in colour, with white patch on chest."
