Planned road works taking place across the borough this week

This week will see a number of roadworks take place which could impact your routes across the Kingston borough.

Read on to find out what areas will be affected and the roads to avoid.

Planned works

Kingston Bridge, Westbound: Westbound cycle lane and footpath closed. Westbound cyclists are advised to use the main westbound carriageway, vehicles are prohibited from overtaking cyclists and pedestrians are advised to use the footpath on the north-side of the bridge. Kingston bound pedestrians can use the footpath as normal on the north-side of the bridge, kingston bound cyclists can continue their journey on the eastbound cycle lane.

Kingston Bridge (additional): Lane closures, 18 July 2022 to 21 February 2023. Repair of defective bridge parapets, balusters, plinths and coping stones.

Canbury Passage, Kingston: Closed, ongoing to 18 February 2023. Sewer repair works by Thames Water.

Ellerton Road, Tolworth: Road closure at the junction with Ditton Road, 28 November 2022 to 11 February 2023. Culvert repairs.

Coombe Road, Kingston: Temporary signals at the junction with Station Road (closed), 7 November to 2 December 2022. Kerb built out and entry treatment works for development.

Toby Way, Tolworth: Road closure, 7 November to 29 November 2022, new connection to development by Thames Water.

Maple Road, Surbiton: Road closure along the length of road in sections, 14 November to 1 December 2022. Tree pruning works.

Portsmouth Road, Surbiton: Temporary signals outside 63, 23 to 29 November, works by Thames Water.

Kingston Hill, Kingston: Temporary signals at the junction with Crescent Road, 22 to 29 November 2022. Emergency works by Southern Gas Networks.

Skerne Road, Kingston: Road closure at the junction with Down Hall Road, 4 December 2022, works by Network Rail.

Upper Brighton Road, Surbiton: Temporary signals near Graham Gardens, 23 to 28 November 2022. Valve repair works by Thames Water.

Clayton Road, Chessington: Temporary signals outside 146, 30 November 2022. Pole replacement by BT.

Church Road, Worcester Park: Road closure at the junction with Barrow Hill, 29 November to 2 December 2022. Works by Thames Water.

Maple Road, Surbiton: Temporary signals at the junction with Cadogan Road, 2 December 2022. Leakage detection works by Thames Water.

Langley Road, Surbiton: Temporary signals outside St Matthews School, 28 November 2022. New supply by UK Power Networks.

Park Road, Kingston: Temporary signals outside 15, 30 November to 2 December 2022. Works by Thames Water.

George Road, Kingston: Road closures outside Pinewood Manor, 29 to 30 November 2022 from 10pm - 5am. Leakage detection works by Thames Water.

Galsworthy Road, Kingston: Road closure from Coombe Road to number 32, 28 to 29 November 2022 from 8pm - 6am. Carriageway resurfacing.

High Street, New Malden: Temporary signals at the junction with Cambridge Road, 28 November 2022. Works by BT.

Glenbuck Road, Surbiton: Road closures at the side of the rail line, 28 November to 3 December 2022 nightly from 10pm to 6am. Works by Network Rail.
