Onyx School of Performing Arts, which is based in Kingston, has announced the launch of three performing arts scholarships for children aged six to eight, giving young talent the chance to access high-quality training in acting, singing and street dance.

Families are invited to apply now, with entries closing on 12 January.

Successful scholarship recipients will be awarded a full term of training at Onyx, attending two hours of tuition every Saturday, covering acting, singing and street dance as part of Onyx's triple-threat programme.

Designed to support both recreational students and children with aspirations for a future professional career, Onyx's programmes focus on building confidence, creativity and performance skills in a fun, nurturing environment.

All classes are delivered by experienced industry professionals and qualified teachers (QTS), ensuring every child receives expert guidance and support.

Onyx School of Performing Arts is also a registered exam centre for Trinity College London and I-PATH, offering students the opportunity to work towards Ofqual-regulated graded exams and qualifications.

These recognised assessments celebrate progress, boost self-esteem and inspire a lifelong love of the performing arts.

In addition to structured training, students enjoy a wide range of performance opportunities throughout the year. From informal end-of-term presentations to Onyx's highly anticipated annual showcase, every child is given the chance to perform, grow and shine on stage.

An Onyx's school principal said: "At Onyx, we are passionate about delivering high-quality performing arts training while recognising and celebrating each child's unique potential.

"Our scholarship programme gives young performers the opportunity to access training that builds skills, confidence and a genuine love for the arts."

Parents and carers are encouraged to complete the scholarship form by 12 January for a chance to secure a full term of professional performing arts training for their child.

You can find out more about the scholarship and how to apply via Onyx's website here.
