Old signs from the London Transport network could be the perfect gift for train buffs this Christmas - but some will set you back nearly £1,000.

Many of the signs were recently changed due to the renaming of London Overground lines, which were previously unnamed, to the Windrush, Lioness, Mildmay, Weaver, Suffragette and Liberty lines.

Other signs up for grabs include those for lifts, exits and different platforms.

One of the items includes a route map for the Overground which reaches Richmond and Kew Gardens.

Despite their hefty price tags of between £150 and £950, many of the signs on the London Transport Museum's website have already sold out.

One sign indicating directions for the Overground, Jubilee line and buses - complete with a lightbox which lights up to show the way out - can be bought for £850.
