Round Table Great Britain & Ireland has started a new club known as Round Table 19 in Kingston.

The new club was given its name as it is Round Table's 19th club.

The club, which will meet every other Thursday at 7pm, is for men aged 18-45 to partake in activities such as Axe Throwing or Go Karting before sitting down for a pint and a catch up.

The first Round Table club was established in Norwich nearly 100 years ago.

It hopes to help young men to create support networks given that mental health problems are on the increase and suicide is the biggest killer in men.

Round Table has nearly 300 clubs and 3,000 members in the UK and Ireland and is also the largest young men's club in the world with over 50,000 members in 60 countries.

This gives members the chance to travel the world to meet other members.

Round Table is part of a four-family club:

  • Round Table is for young men aged 18 to 45.
  • Ladies Circle is for women aged 18 to 45.
  • 41 Club is for men aged over 45.
  • Tangent is for women aged over 45.

Round Table also likes to support the local community.

It has previously hosted fireworks displays in Kingston before the pandemic and will be hosting the Carol Wagon this Christmas.

Rudolph will tour the wagon around Kingston and Santa will give out sweets while his elves collect money for local causes.

Round Table are looking for causes to help through this event and are asking for people to get in touch.

For more information, you can contact the club via their Facebook page (Kingston Round Table) or email them at [email protected]
