A new gallery led by Kingston trained artists is now open at the Bentall Centre, at Wood Street entrance .

ArtHouse Galleries are showcasing the work of over 15 different Surrey and London based painters, photographers and ceramicists in a new gallery shop on the ground floor of this busy shopping hub.

ArtHouse at Bentalls is offering an affordable and accessible shopping environment for everyone looking to find original artworks for their home or as a gift. Kingston Nub News Readers can show the staff this article on their phones to get 10% off on any visit in November 2023.

Uniquely, the gallery is set up and manned by the artists themselves, with different members of the team working on different days.

If piece catches your eye, you can find out from the maker the inspiration behind the work. You are buying directly from the artist- so no commission!

Founder of ArtHouse Galleries, Kate Winskill, who studied Fine Art at Kingston University said: "We are delighted to be back in Kingston, where many of our artists studied and live, and to open our first pop up gallery in this vibrant centre.

"We want to show people that buying original art from the artists is totally affordable and easy to do.

"We have everything from landscapes to portraits, pop art to rainbow animals. This really means anyone can find a work to suit their tastes: from traditional to 'out there' art!"

Open daily from now until March 2024, works include original paintings, collages and limited edition prints on a range of subjects from London's iconic buildings, Manga-inspired digital art, abstract landscapes to surrealist photography.

Ceramics include necklaces, statement vases and affordable and quirky pots for everyday use.

As many of the artists have work in public and private collections throughout the world, the temporary gallery offers the atmosphere of a free to enter art fair in the convenient position of central Kingston upon Thames, with handy parking !

There will be over 500 different artworks on offer from originals to limited edition prints, to suit contemporary or more traditional tastes.

As each piece is sold, another unique artwork will take its place, so work is constantly changing.

ArtHouse Galleries are keen to make original art accessible to everyone to enhance their homes.

Prices start from just £20 with at least half the stock under £100. Customers can buy pieces framed or unframed too.
