Motorcyclist taken to hospital with ‘serious’ injuries following Surbiton collision

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with "serious" injuries following a collision with a van in Surbiton this morning (Wednesday, 26 November), according to a police officer at the scene.

The incident occurred outside Hollyfield School on Surbiton Hill Road.

Police tape is surrounding the area, toward the crossing, and down part of Ewell Road.

The broken motorcycle can be seen within the surrounded area.

Officers remain at the scene currently.

A Met Police spokesperson told Nub News: "Around 07:10hrs on Wednesday, 26 November, officers attended the junction between Ewell Road and Lamberts Road, in Surbiton, with the London Ambulance Service, following a collision between a motorcyclist and a van.

 "The motorcyclist, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital, where he is currently being treated for potentially life-changing injuries.

 "The driver of the van – aged in his 30s – was not injured. No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing."
