Around £15,000 has been raised by the Mayor's Charitable Trust under Cllr Diane White.

This comes after a recent charity dinner held Wednesday evening (6 March) at The French Table in Surbiton.

Proceeds from the event are donated to the mayor's two chosen charities, Kingston Charitable Foundation and Voices of Hope.

Describing why she chose the two charities, Cllr White said: "Their ethos, commitment and passion for those who may be facing hardship or need hope is inspirational and it has been a privilege to work with them."

Tickets were priced between £105 and £110, available through the council's Mayor's Events page.

The Mayor's Office holds a number of similar events throughout the year, including a quiz night and a fundraiser via a team running in the Kingston Half Marathon.

Cllr White also told Nub News that she will be attending the Whittington Walk for sponsorship on Sunday 10 March

The mayor's Spring Party will also take place next month (19 April), and will see an 11-piece live band in attendance.

More details for this along with similar events are available here.
