A man has been rushed to hospital after a car and a motorcycle collided in New Malden this morning (Friday 4 June).

The crash happened on the Kingston Road A2043 junction with Park Road, at just before 6am.

An ambulance crew were called to the scene and a stretch of the A2043 between Park Road and South Lane was temporarily closed, re-opening at 9am.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 5.51am today (4 June) to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Kingston Road, at the junction with Park Road.

"We sent an ambulance crew, who treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority."
