Man retrieved from River Thames dies in hospital

A man has sadly died after being recovered from the River Thames near Kingston.

Police were called at approximately 2:05pm on Wednesday 6 December to reports of a man seen in the River Thames by Lower Ham Road.

Officers, along with other emergency services including the RNLI, attended the scene.

A man was recovered from the water and taken to hospital for treatment where he sadly died.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.
