Kingston and Teddington will continue to affected by a number of cancelled or revised train services this weekend, 24-25 February, due to ongoing planned engineering works around Wimbledon.

This includes the popular London Waterloo to Shepperton service which will be diverted to Kingston from Clapham Junction via Richmond.

Furthermore, the London Waterloo via Wimbledon and Kingston service will not be running at all.

South Western Railway will be providing rail replacement buses along closed sections of the line.

There will be multiple bus services between Clapham Junction and Surbiton, with some travelling via Kingston and others onto Hampton Court.

This weekend also sees additional routes from Clapham Junction to Woking, Effingham Junction, and Chessington South, all via Surbiton.

Berrylands station will be closed completely

These disruptions come off the back of poor performance metrics across the network in recent times.

SWR's own most-recent figures (12 November - 9 December 2023) show that approximately two out of five services are late, while 5% are cancelled altogether.

This is compared to Southern Railway's figures from last week (14 February), where 70.3% of services were on-time: an 11.8% improvement over SWR's 62.9%.

The train operator does provide excellent station facilities to wait out delays however, boasting a 90.4% rating from the company's independent assessors from August 2022 to early February 2023.

Please check South Western Railway's website where you can find a complete list of the disrupted lines, and future disruptions six weeks in advance.
