London Fire Brigade (LFB) has been collecting warm coats from people across London to donate to Wrap Up London.

Residents in Kingston have been able to donate warm coats at Kingston and Surbiton Fire Stations.

LFB Kingston has now received over 200 donations.

Donated coats will be distributed to vulnerable and homeless people as the cold weather draws in.

Coats can be dropped off at Kingston and Surbiton fire stations.

Wrap Up is a project run by various Rotary Clubs working in partnership with Hands On London.

Its sole aim is to provide coats, that go directly to people across the UK, who struggle to keep warm during the winter months.

Coats donated to Wrap Up are distributed via homeless shelters, refugee centres, organisations supporting the elderly, women's refuges, children's centres, and other charities helping people in crisis.

Borough Commander at Kingston, Glen Nicolaides said: "We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our local community. The coats donated are gifted directly to homeless and vulnerable people in the run-up to the cold months. Thanks to everyone who donated."
