Local charity The Community Brain is holding a free mural workshop in Surbiton on Sunday, 12 May.

The event will teach participants, aged six and over, fundamental spray painting techniques used by street artists, preparing them for joining in with future community art projects.

No experience is required to attend and contribute to "an awesome street art piece," says The Community Brain.

The workshop is being run with help from animal and street artist Roo Art, with previous commissions including murals in Brixton, Penge, Guildford and Brighton to name a few.

The event will run from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday, 12 May, along King Charles Road in Surbiton.

Anyone interested should email [email protected] to book their spot.

The group is hosting a number of other events throughout May, including a community sports day on Saturday, 11 May.
