All Weekend

Shooting Hedda Gabler, Rose Theatre, 7:30pm

Have you seen the Rose's latest co-production with The Norwegian Ibsen Company yet? Shooting Hedda Gabler unfolds on a movie set in Norway where filming is underway for a film adaptation of Hedda Gabler. Inspired by conversations born out of the #MeToo movement, Nina Segal has created an affectionate, sharp and chilling reframing of Henrik Ibsen's 130-year-old story, directed by Jeff James.

Saturday 7 October

Repair Café, Kingston Library's community room 10:30am-1pm

Visitors can bring all sorts of broken items to fix on the spot with the help of our volunteer repairers and refreshments while you wait, watch and learn.  Electricals and electronics are usually our busiest tables, with textiles just behind, but we can tackle all kinds of other repairs, including small items of furniture, toys... Find out more at https://www.ttkingston.org/repair-cafe-kingston/ including how to book a repair slot (last booking or drop-in session 12.30) or how to volunteer to help at Repair Café.

London Hallyu Festival, Jubilee Square Jubilee Square in New Malden, 11am-4pm

This year Korea Town Foundation is celebrating the Korean Wave (Hallyu) by exploring South Korea's rich culture through the five senses. There'll be a diverse range of foods, interactive performances, traditional clothing stalls, games and much more for everyone to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Host by Flo Kasearu, Stanley Picker Gallery, 12:30-2pm

For Flo Kasearu's first UK solo show Host, visitors will not be able to visit her major piece the Flo Kasearu House Museum as this is in Tallinn, so instead she has produced soap replicas of her 113-year-old family house. This will not only provide a lifetime's soap supply for Flo's home sauna but help divert her fear of running out of soap to other worrisome dangers, such as her wooden house catching fire, the gap in her garden fence, and public space being 'parasited' by order.

Octoberfest The Park Brewery, 1pm-9:30pm

Join The Park Brewery for some FREE Bavarian celebrations. The brewery will showcase its award-winning beers as well as German beers and traditional food. Keg & cask available plus other options if beers aren't for you. The event takes place in our tap room on the first floor of the brewery, with access up one flight of stairs.

Sunday 8 October

The British Bread Golf Open, Eagle Wharf Brewery, 1pm-3pm

Three dough balls for a £5 charity donation to try to get a hole in one on the floating green - could you be the proud wear of the coveted 'Green Jacket'? The British Bread Golf Open is a community event which takes place by Woody's Pub & The Ram. Golf clubs provided. Bring your friends and family to have a go or come along and watch.

Dame Joan Collins- Behind the shoulder pads, Rose Theatre, 3pm and 7pm

To coincide with the release of her much-anticipated memoir Behind the Shoulder Pads, global superstar Dame Joan Collins is embarking on a brand new tour for 2023. With her husband, Percy Gibson by her side, they will field your questions, giving audiences the opportunity to have an intimate chat with the world famous actress.
