Pub chain Wetherspoon has submitted a licensing application to extend the operating hours of its Kingston venue.
If permission is granted, the Kings Tun, located in 153 – 157 Clarence Street, will extend its operating hours to 1.30am from Sundays to Thursdays and to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Currently, the Kings Tun is open until 12am from Sundays to Thursdays and 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Wetherspoons also seeks permission to extend the pub's terminal hour for the sale of alcohol and late-night refreshments to 1am from Sundays to Thursdays and 1.30am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Moreover, Wetherspoon is seeking permission to host regulated entertainment, including films, live music, performance of dance, and entertainment of a similar description, until 1am from Sunday to Thursday and 1.30am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Finally, it would also like to extend the terminal hour of playing recorded music to this same time schedule.
Anyone wishing to comment on the application must send their views in writing to the council's licensing team by 23 October.
Representations can be submitted by post to Guildhall 2, High Street, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU, or by email to [email protected].
