Kingston station: trains cancelled and commuters told to find alternative routes after trespasser spotted

Trains from Kingston have been cancelled after a trespasser was spotted at the station this morning (15 September).

South Western Railway says normal services will resume at 12pm.

Commuters are being urged to find alternative routes.

A witness on social media says she saw police with torches at the station at around 5.30am.

Kingston police said: "Emergency services are at #Kingston Bridge BR Station after call at 05:30hrs to concerns for the welfare of a woman.

"Police in attendance & engaging with woman.

"Travel disruption is expected - pls use alternative routes if possible."

They later added: "The woman is now with British Transport Police officers and the incident has been stood down.

"Thanks for your patience."
