Kingston station is set for a new look when commuters can return to the platform.

The Zone Six station is set for a big repaint as part of a £1.5 million plan by South Western Rail.

Other Kingston Borough stations Tolworth and Berrylands will also receive upgrades.

The work is still going on at these stations.

Alan Penlington, South Western Railway's Director of Customer Experience, said: "At South Western Railway, we are committed to improving our stations and performance at every stage of the journey.

"We know that great customer service consists of more than getting people from A to B, and our determination to enhance our stations is just one example of improving the wider travel experience.

"The £1.5 million investment will smarten up a range of stations across our network, and we hope customers in South West London will enjoy the new look."

Of course with current travel restrictions in place it will be a little while yet until we can see these upgrades.
