A new Kingston-based startup, SubSeat, is redefining how local barbers, hair salons, nail technicians, lash technicians, and wellness professionals manage their bookings and secure predictable income.

Founded by Aaron Nicholson, SubSeat is a subscription-based booking platform that gives small businesses the stability they deserve.

The idea is simple just like customers subscribe to Netflix or Spotify, they can now subscribe to their favourite self-care professionals, guaranteeing regular appointments while helping local businesses achieve consistent cash flow.

For barbers and salons, SubSeat offers a smarter way to manage their calendar, reduce no-shows, and gain a clear understanding of their income whether from card or cash payments.

For customers, it means locking in their self-care routine with ease and exclusive perks like free shape-ups or loyalty benefits.

Currently in its development stage, SubSeat has already received strong validation and letters of interest from local businesses excited to trial the platform on launch.

Nicholson and the team are also working on a local social series, filmed in Kingston and nearby areas, to spotlight the personalities "behind the chair" barbers, stylists, technicians, and wellness professionals who make the community thrive.

SubSeat's vision is to empower local self-care professionals by combining technology, creativity, and community spirit.

Businesses or creators interested in getting involved in the filming series or joining the early access waitlist can visit www.subseat.net or follow @SubSeatUK on Instagram for updates.
