Kingston: Planned road works taking place across the borough this week

This week will see a number of roadworks take place which could impact your routes across the Kingston borough.

Read on to find out what areas will be affected and the roads to avoid.

Planned works

Kingston Bridge, Westbound: Westbound cycle lane and footpath closed. Westbound cyclists are advised to use the main westbound carriageway, vehicles are prohibited from overtaking cyclists and pedestrians are advised to use the footpath on the north-side of the bridge.

Kingston bound pedestrians can use the footpath as normal on the north-side of the bridge, kingston bound cyclists can continue their journey on the eastbound cycle lane. 18 July 2022 - 17 March 2023.

The Manor Drive, Worcester Park: Multi-way signals outside 130, 6 to 19 February 2023. Maintenance works by Southern Gas.

Barnsbury Lane, Tolworth: Two-way signals beside 1 Sunray Avenue, 16 to 20 February 2023. Works by Thames Water.

George Road, Kingston: Two-way signals outside Holy Cross Preparatory School and Coombe Wood Golf Club, 16 February 2023. Works by BT.

Park Road, Kingston: Two-way signals, 13 to 17 February 2023. Works by Thames Water.

Queens Road, Kingston: Two-way signals outside Park Hill School, 13 to 17 February 2023. Works by Thames Water.

Red Lion Road, Tolworth: Two-way signals outside 219, 13 to 19 February 2023. Works by Thames Water.

Upper Brighton Road, Surbiton: Multi-way signals outside the junction with Glenbuck Road, 13 February 2023. Works by Network Rail.

Water Lane, Kingston: Road closed until 24 February 2024. Development works.

Cox Lane, Chessington: Multi-way signals from Davis Road to Chelwood House, 24 to 26 February 2023. Installation of new ducting by BT.

Elm Road, New Malden: Road and footway closed at Malden Level Crossing, 25 to 27 February 2023. Works by Network Rail.

Richmond Road, Kingston: Lane closure outside 52, 20 to 22 February 2023. Installation of a new service connection by UK Power Networks.

Skerne Road, Kingston: Road closed on the paved off area, 24 to 27 February 2023. Works by Network Rail.
