The pandemic has been tough for retail - but non-essential shops are finally back open on April 12th.

However Kingston has fared better than most.

According to CWM Kingston is the most resilient large retail centre in the country.

CWM is a retail consultancy and described Kingston as remaining robust throughout the pandemic.

Jonathon De Mello from the firm says, "a strong and substantial grocery offer" and other essential retail has been key to their success.

Mr De Mello said with home working now potentially here to stay these centres would "likely to continue to perform well now, and into the future".
