Richmond Road in Kingston has reopened after a fire erupted in the site of a former cinema at around 2pm yesterday, Sunday, 16 March, which saw 15 fire engines and around 100 firefighters attend the scene.

However, police tape still surrounds the site and members of the London Fire Brigade and the Met Police remain present at the scene.

While there doesn't seem to be significant damage to exterior of the building, an LFB spokesperson at the scene today, Monday, 17 March, told Kingston Nub News that there the inside of the building is "very badly damaged" and is "structurally unsafe."
