Every week we pick a local activity that we think will be of interest to readers and feature it on our website.

Today we're highlighting the return of a regular Saturday comedy night at the cornerHOUSE theatre in Surbiton.

This week Whole Lotta Comedy club, a group of comedians in Kingston, will be providing the top local stand-up talent.

They will be performing in a 2-hour show at the Surbiton community arts centre this Saturday 31 July.

The gig runs from 8pm to 10pm and you can reserve seats by emailing [email protected].

What is the cornerHOUSE?

The cornerHOUSE theatre is run entirely by volunteers for the people of Tolworth, Surbiton and the surrounding areas.

Every month the venue hosts in-house productions, resident companies, local and professional drama companies, plus some of the UK's finest comedians.

There are also classes, workshops, after-school clubs and other educational and artistic activities.

You can also see exhibitions from local artists and photographers, or join a monthly film club putting on 2 films per month at discounted rates.
