Kingston death – Man dies after fall

The police have confirmed the death of a man on Wood Street in Kingston, which is being treated as non-suspicious.
At least six police vehicles were called to the scene at 8:29hrs this morning – Thursday.
Roads in the area, which is close to the John Lewis and Bentalls department stores, were closed as the emergency services responded to the incident.
In a statement, the press office for the police's South West Basic Command said: "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 08:29hrs on Thursday, 27 January to reports of a man fallen from height on Wood Street in Kingston.
"Officers and London's Air Ambulance attended. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 09:25hrs.
"Next of kin are yet to be informed. At this early stage, the death is not being treated as suspicious.
"Our thoughts are with the friends and family at this time."
