Kingston Cycling Campaign is inviting locals to its next free family bike ride
By Tilly O'Brien 5th Jun 2026
To celebrate Bike Week and "encourage people to have fun discovering new local routes", Kingston Cycling Campaign (KCC) and Full Cycle Community Bike Project are inviting residents of all ages to join their next free family-friendly ride on Sunday, 14 June.
Starting from Latchmere Recreation Ground, the "gentle-paced" 6.5-mile ride will explore some of North Kingston's cycle-friendly routes, from the Thames towpath to Richmond Park.
Designed for all ages and cycling abilities, KCC says "the ride is a great way to build confidence, meet new people and discover local routes in a relaxed and supportive environment".
With marshals keeping everyone safe, Full Cycle volunteers will also be providing free Dr Bike-style TLC before and after the ride, while Friends of Latchmere Recreation Ground will be offering bike security marking.
KCC said: "We're keen to help more local people experience the joy, freedom and everyday benefits of cycling."
