Kingston Council has appointed Bugler Developments Limited as the construction partner to deliver 45 new affordable homes for older people and adults with learning disabilities on Acre Road, Kingston.

Bugler Developments is a family-owned, award-winning contractor that has been building high quality homes since 1982, working with local authorities and housing associations across London and the South East.

The main construction works are scheduled to begin this Autumn and are expected to be completed in Spring 2027.

The scheme will regenerate a vacant site to provide much-needed new homes.

The development will include a new pedestrian path through the centre of the area, improved biodiversity and tree planting, new private and public landscaping, and a sustainable, carbon neutral design.

All homes will be spacious and fully adapted for wheelchair accessibility.

Councillor Emily Davey, Portfolio Holder for Housing, said: "Appointing Bugler Developments Limited as the construction partner for this project is an exciting step forward in delivering much-needed modern, sustainable homes for older people and those with learning disabilities in Kingston."

"I look forward to seeing this project come to life and to welcoming new residents into their homes in the years ahead."

David Culliton, Pre-Construction Director at Bugler Developments, said: "We are delighted to be preparing for the construction of this important community-focused scheme.

"Working in partnership with Kingston Council, we look forward to delivering 45 much-needed, high-quality homes for older residents and adults with learning support needs."

The project forms part of the council's work to ensure Kingston is a fairer place, where residents are supported throughout their lifetime and have access to good quality housing.
