Kingston Council has revealed that Eagle Brewery Wharf will open in the summer with a new play trail, accessible public seating, new lighting and metal railings, and plant trees.

As part of the project, the council is working in partnership with Kingston First, the town centre's business improvement district, to transform Eagle Brewery Wharf on Kingston's riverside into a place where everyone can unwind, enjoy and connect with nature.

The Council's Planning Committee approved the planning application last year and works began in February.

Kingston Council said: "The transformation of Eagle Brewery Wharf is an exciting opportunity to revamp a key riverside space, improving Kingston's green spaces, and celebrating the site's heritage.

"The ambition for Eagle Brewery Wharf is to create a well-loved, inclusive and activated space in a key riverside location in Kingston.

"The proposals build on the natural setting by maximising greenery and biodiversity and connecting the site with the river.

"There is also a great opportunity to enhance Eagle Brewery Wharf's distinctive character by reflecting its rich history and heritage in its design."
