Kingston Council is activating its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) tonight (Friday, 2 January 2026) to provide shelter for rough sleepers (Credit: Tilly O'Brien)

Kingston Council is activating its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) tonight (Friday, 2 January 2026) to provide shelter for rough sleepers.

The council said: "If you see someone sleeping rough in the borough, please let us know."
