Kingston Charitable Foundation launches festive fundraising

Kingston Charitable Foundation is launching its Christmas Wishes fundraising appeal for vulnerable families in the borough.
Around 5,733 children are currently living in poverty in Kingston.
Starting with a Christmas Wishes hamper raffle, the independent charity is hoping to raise money to support families and individuals in need. Just £75 will buy a young carer winter essentials such as a warm coat, scarf, gloves and bedding.
For a donation of just £5 per ticket (there are just 100 tickets available!), you could win a fabulous festive hamper which so far includes:
- Gin
- Champagne
- Prosecco
- 2 x tonic waters
- Sparkling elderflower
- Lovely party snacks
- Party poppers
- Ginger Gin
- Champagne glasses x 4
- Bottle of wine
- The Good Life gin (40cl)
- Fentiman's lemonade (mixer)
The lucky winner will be announced at the Kingston Christmas Wishes Charity Pub Quiz on Tuesday 28 November (8pm-10pm) at The Boaters Inn, Canbury Gardens.
It will be supported by Kingston Chambers of Commerce as one of its Charity of the Year fundraisers for Kingston Charitable Foundation.
Tickets to the quiz cost just £10 per person. As well as prizes, there will also be another raffle to win:
- Family ticket to Chessington World of Adventures, donated by Chessington World of Adventures
- Bottle of Champagne, donated by The Boaters Inn
- Meal for two, donated by The Boaters Inn
- A fantastic Christmas Wishes Hamper (Thank you to everyone who has donated contents for our fabulous hamper, including: Kingston Charitable Foundation trustees; Julie Leach (Kingston Chamber of Commerce President) and Patriona Briggs, Community Liaison Coordinator, John Lewis Kingston.
Thanks to a very generous pledge from the Rowan Bentall Charitable Trust, to match fund donations, every penny raised by the raffle and the pub quiz will be doubled!
