Good morning Kingston! Welcome back to our breakfast briefing for Monday 1 November, with your local weather for the week, traffic/travel report plus a note from your Nub News editor.

Sunrise and weather

Today's forecast: Sunny with cloudy intervals all day. Highs of 13° from 12-2pm, falling to 9° by 7 o'clock. Low pollution and UV.

What the week will look like: Mostly dry from Tuesday to Friday but with showers possible. Light winds for Tuesday and becoming a little breezier during Wednesday. Feeling colder than last week - it is November after all.

Traffic report

Delays:

- Chessington: Queueing traffic on A243 Leatherhead Road Northbound from M25 J9 / A244 (Leatherhead) to B280 Rushett Lane.

- Hampton Court: Queueing traffic on A308 Hampton Court Road Eastbound from Kempton Park to Hogarth Way.

- Long Ditton: Queueing traffic on A3 into town at A243 Hook Road (Hook Junction). Travel time is ten minutes.

- Richmond: Severe delays of 15 minutes and delays increasing on Whitton Road Roundabout Eastbound between A316 Chertsey Road and A316 Lower Mortlake Road (Richmond Circus). Average speed five mph.

- Twickenham town centre: Queueing traffic on A310 London Road both ways at Arragon Road. Congestion to Cross Deep back to Strawberry Vale, Heath Road back to Twickenham Green, and London Road back past the station.

What's on today: decision time for Kingston's new schools

Kingston Council's Corporate and Resources committee will decide whether to lease two sites in the borough to new schools, including renting out part of the Kingsmeadow in Norbiton to a new Church of England secondary school.

Chelsea Football Club are among those who have written to the Council about the Kingsmeadow decision, as their Youth and Women's teams are based at the site's stadium.
