Today's weather: Sunny changing to cloudy in the afternoon. Chilly, with highs of 10° around 3pm.

Outlook for the weekend: Saturday starts cloudy with patchy drizzle. Brighter weather will develop during the morning and early afternoon. However, thickening cloud will bring patchy rain into the evening. Milder, but rather windy. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Sunday will be mostly dry and bright, but still rather windy. Highs of 12° around 12pm.

Traffic news

New Malden: Queueing traffic for two miles on A2043 Malden Road Northbound from Colborne Way to A3 (Shannon Corner).

Worcester Park: Severe delays of ten minutes and delays easing on A2043 Malden Road Northbound between Farm Way and South Lane. Average speed five mph.

Esher: Queueing traffic for two miles on A244 Copsem Lane Northbound between Oaklawn Road and A3 (Esher Common). Travel time is 25 minutes.

Leatherhead: Entry ramp closed, two lanes closed and queueing traffic for eight miles due to spillage of hydraulic fluid on M25 clockwise at J9 A243 (Leatherhead). Congestion to J8 A217 (Reigate).

Rail news: planned engineering works on Sunday - no trains from Kingston to London will be running

Trains from London Waterloo to Kingston via Wimbledon are cancelled on Sunday 7 November as engineering work takes place.

Across the borough, services from London Waterloo to Hampton Court and Chessington will not be running and Berrylands station will be closed.

Over the river, trains from London Waterloo to Shepperton will be diverted to Richmond.

Bus replacement services are planned and the quickest way to get to the capital will be to get a train from Richmond station instead.
